ATV Safety Courses

The Dover Rovers are hosting FREE ATV Safety Courses for kids 10 and up on . Please call or text Leona Leathers at 279-6735 to register. Unless specified, be prepared to bring snacks, drinks and lunch.

Sunday May 17th- 9am to 3pm- Bear Point Marina, Bowerbank

Sunday June 27th- 9am to 3pm- American Legion Hall, Dover-Foxcroft

Sunday August 8th- 9am to 3pm- American Legion Hall, Dover-Foxcroft

In Maine, youth ages 10 to under 16, must successfully complete an approved ATV Safety Certification course to legally operate on land other than their own. Anyone 16 years of age or older is encouraged to take the course to be educated and prepared for safe riding.

In this course you will learn how to properly operate and maintain an ATV. During the course we will review laws, responsibilities and personal safety. You must attend the full program and pass a final exam to receive your certificate.

This is a classroom style course and does not provide a riding component as part of training.

A final exam will be administered consisting of information covered in the course. Please bring snacks, drinks and lunch.
